MHI horizontal stainless-steel multistage pumps

MHI horizontal stainless-steel multistage pumps
AQUARIS / MHI

MHI is a horizontal stainless-steel multistage range for various clean-water pressure and circulation duties. The catalogue also identifies IVT-MHI as a frequency-inverter configuration, separate from the standard MHI arrangement, for installations requiring that control option.

Range technical data

Power range
0.37–2.2 kW
Listed model maximum flows
4–26 m³/h
Listed model maximum heads
23–69 m
Maximum pressure
10 bar
Electrical supply
1~ 220–240 V or 3~ 380–415 V, 50 Hz

These figures describe the catalogue range or stated subrange. Maximum flow and maximum head/pressure are not a single duty point. Select the exact model from its curve and confirm materials, electrical version and connections.

MHI

A closer look at the series

Multiple impellers give MHI the pressure profile shown on its own hydraulic curves. The casing, impeller and shaft are listed in AISI 304 stainless steel; the specified fluid is clean water. Documented uses include water supply and boosting, hot-water circulation and heating, air-conditioning, industrial circulation, washing and sprinklers.

IVT-MHI is called out as a pump with a frequency inverter; this does not mean every MHI model includes electronic speed control. Review the selected curve and model table, then check the supply voltage, maximum suction condition, liquid temperature and pressure limit for the intended installation. Material compatibility should be assessed against the actual water.

Features

  • Horizontal multistage hydraulics
  • AISI 304 casing, impellers and shaft
  • IVT-MHI frequency-inverter configuration
  • Clean-water duty stated in operating data

Applications

  • Water supply and boosting
  • Heating and air-conditioning circulation
  • Washing and sprinkler systems

Materials

AISI 304 stainless-steel casing, impeller and shaft. The mechanical seal is specified as silicon carbide and US Morgan graphite. The seal’s listed temperature resistance is a component property, not an increase in the pump liquid-temperature limit.

Operating conditions

Approved fluid: clean water. Liquid temperature 0–90 °C; maximum pressure 10 bar; maximum suction lift 8 m. IP54 protection. Confirm electrical phase and whether the selected unit is MHI or inverter-equipped IVT-MHI.

Construction and application

Before selecting

  • Select the multistage model for the required flow and pressure duty.
  • Check clean-water service, liquid temperature, suction conditions and pressure limit.
  • Choose MHI or IVT-MHI and confirm the electrical supply.

Your questions

Series questions

What distinguishes IVT-MHI from MHI?

The overview identifies IVT-MHI as the multistage pump with a frequency inverter. Confirm the selected configuration.

Does a seal rated to 120 °C allow 120 °C water in MHI?

No. The operating-data table limits the fluid to 0–90 °C. The separate 120 °C statement describes the mechanical-seal material.

Read operating data and materials on page 1 and the model performance curves on page 2. Page 3 identifies IVT-MHI inverter-equipped sets; do not assume every MHI includes that control.
