KTZ-LH submersible drainage pumps

KTZ and LH are submersible drainage pump families for civil engineering, mines and quarries, sewage-treatment plants and general pumping. Their construction and immersion limits must be checked separately for the selected family and model.
Range technical data
- KTZ: power
- 1.5–15 kW
- KTZ: maximum flow / head
- 156 m³/h / 56 m
- KTZ: discharge
- 50–150 mm
- LH: power
- 22–110 kW
- LH: maximum flow / head
- 408 m³/h / 200 m
- LH: discharge
- 100–200 mm
- Electrical supply
- 3~ 380–415 V, 50 Hz; LH uses star-delta starting
These figures describe the catalogue range or stated subrange. Maximum flow and maximum head/pressure are not a single duty point. Select the exact model from its curve and confirm materials, electrical version and connections.

A closer look at the series
KTZ and LH use cast-iron motor and pump bodies with a top outlet. KTZ pairs a high-chrome-alloy semi-open impeller with a ductile-iron wear plate and uses a discharge channel cast into the motor housing for cooling. The LH construction table lists a high-chrome-alloy impeller, steel outer casing and ductile-iron diffuser; its hydraulic assembly is below the motor.
These are separate constructions, so KTZ features should not be assumed for every LH model. Both overviews specify water up to 40 °C, while maximum water depth is 25 m for KTZ and 30 m for LH. Select from the corresponding hydraulic curve, then confirm the actual liquid, flow, total head, connections, electrical supply and starting arrangement for the chosen model.
Features
- Cast-iron motor and pump bodies with top outlet
- KTZ: semi-open high-chrome-alloy impeller and ductile-iron wear plate
- LH: high-chrome-alloy impeller, steel outer casing and ductile-iron diffuser
- Separate immersion limits and hydraulic curves for KTZ and LH
Applications
- Civil-engineering drainage
- Mine and quarry drainage
- Sewage-treatment plants
Materials
KTZ uses cast-iron motor and pump bodies, a high-chrome-alloy semi-open impeller and a ductile-iron inlet plate. LH lists cast-iron motor parts, a steel outer casing, a high-chrome-alloy impeller and an AISI 420 stainless shaft. Seal combinations differ between KTZ ratings and LH.
Operating conditions
Both series specify water up to 40 °C. Maximum water depth is 25 m for KTZ and 30 m for LH. LH lists star-delta starting. Confirm the exact model and its electrical starting arrangement.
Construction and application
Before selecting
- Choose KTZ or LH from the required drainage duty and the corresponding curve.
- Check the series-specific immersion limit and the 40 °C water limit.
- Confirm supply, starting method and required cable option for the installation.
Your questions
Series questions
Do KTZ and LH have the same immersion limit?
No. The KTZ overview states 25 m; the LH overview states 30 m. Use the limit for the selected series.
Which range is described for high-head dewatering?
The LH overview explicitly includes deep-well pre-dewatering and high-head dewatering. Select the exact LH model from its flow–head data.
