SOLENOID JLM · MECHANICAL JBB
JLM and JBB diaphragm metering pumps

One AQUARIS brochure presents two diaphragm metering ranges with different drives: solenoid-operated JLM and mechanically actuated JBB. JLM offers adjustment of stroke length and speed; JBB covers a separate flow-and-pressure envelope with selectable pump-head materials.
Range technical data
- JLM: flow / pressure range
- 10–50 L/h / 1–3 bar, by model
- JLM: power / supply
- 45 W; 1~ 220–240 V, 50 Hz
- JBB: flow / pressure range
- 50–521 L/h / 5–10 bar, by model
- JBB: power
- 0.25–0.37 kW
- JBB: standard supply
- JBB50–155: 1~ 220–240 V or 3~ 380–415 V; JBB201–521: 3~ 380–415 V; 50 Hz
JLM and JBB use different drive principles and model tables. Do not pair the highest range flow with the highest pressure unless the exact model row supports that duty; also check chemical compatibility.

A closer look at the series
JLM and JBB use separate dosing principles within one product family. JLM has a solenoid drive without bearings and an LED display that shows stroke speed; adjustment is available through stroke length and speed. JBB uses a mechanically driven diaphragm, with pump-head materials selected according to the medium.
The catalogue lists options including PVC, PVDF and stainless grades, and provides distinct model tables for each family. These material options are not a universal statement of chemical compatibility. For a dosing application, identify the actual liquid, required flow and back pressure, then consult the corresponding JLM or JBB table and wetted-material configuration.
Features
- JLM solenoid diaphragm drive
- JLM stroke-length and speed adjustment
- JBB mechanically driven diaphragm
- Pump-head material options by medium
Applications
- Controlled liquid dosing
- Compatible chemical dosing
- Industrial process dosing
Materials
JLM material options are PVC, PVDF, SS304 and SS316; its table lists PTFE diaphragms and ceramic valve balls. JBB additionally lists PTFE as a material option. The combined brochure shows pump-head options PVC, SS304/316 and PVDF/PTFE. Match all wetted parts to the chemical.
Operating conditions
JLM: 10–50 L/h at model-dependent pressures of 1–3 bar, single-phase 220–240 V, 50 Hz. JBB: 50–521 L/h at model-dependent pressures of 5–10 bar; JBB50–155 list single-phase or three-phase supply and JBB201–521 list three-phase as standard. No universal liquid-temperature limit is stated. Check the series catalogue for the selected configuration.
Construction and application
Before selecting
- Choose solenoid JLM or mechanical-diaphragm JBB for the dosing flow and actual discharge pressure.
- Confirm chemical compatibility of head, diaphragm, valve parts and seals.
- Check the exact model’s electrical supply and connection options.
Your questions
Series questions
How do JLM and JBB differ?
JLM uses a solenoid drive with adjustment of stroke length and speed. JBB is identified as a mechanical diaphragm metering pump and has a separate flow–pressure table.
Can maximum flow and maximum pressure be combined?
Use the exact model row. For example, JLM1003 is listed at 10 L/h and 3 bar, while JLM5001 is listed at 50 L/h and 1 bar; the range endpoints are not one duty point.
